New Year Resolutions
By Connie Hawkins

Ushering in a New Year is a good time to examine our lives.  What can we do to make this year extra special?  How can we make a difference in not only our own lives but in someone else’s life?

Maybe it starts with change.  Here are some resolutions to consider for 2015:
Be honest with yourself and with others. (Always tell the truth)
Work hard; Show integrity in the workplace.
Exercise patience – it’s a fruit of the Spirit; be dependable.
Watch what you say, use only kind and thoughtful words --  make your words count.
Laugh long, laugh hard – laugh out loud!
Keep your promises.  Be happy…love one another.  Respect and honor your parents.
Be grateful for what you have.  Stop whining and complaining about what you don’t have.
Help others whenever you can.
Try new things…and most important, purpose in your heart to go through this year, even in times of trial, with a SMILE.   God bless you.  Happy New Year!
